My work with labs and laboratory technology solutions started in 1995. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with small informatics firms, a number of services groups and with Thermo Scientific, a market leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) solutions. I have also deployed laboratory technology in a wide range of industries.
Throughout all my experiences, I recognized common pitfalls encountered in laboratory IT projects. I realized that most projects would have been successful if sufficient time had been dedicated to working closely with the end users. I know it sounds too simple, but I believe that most technology projects fall short in the vital area of delivering a solution that is truly driven from a deep understanding of the lab's business and the users' needs.
I founded LabCentrix on the simple philosophy that if we stay "focused" on a lab, its people and its business needs, we will deliver the "smartest" technology solutions and greatest value for our customers. In fact, the name of the company embodies this philosophy:
